Snow in Blacksburg

2000-01-23

lots of snow in blacksburg for a change so i decided to take some pictures ... to prove i actually saw snow in case nobody believes me :)

a view outside of my window, looking down the sidewalk ... looks real Christmassy but Christmas was long over

[ filesize:727x1090 resolution: ]

flecks of snow on my window

[ filesize:1099x721 resolution: ]

the stream that runs into the duckpond with snow covering its banks

[ filesize:751x1099 resolution: ]

the duckpond almost completely frozen over ... surprisingly no skiers since it good enough for that in some places

[ filesize:1099x766 resolution: ]

footprints in the snow ... mine or Robbie's or both (Robbie was taking more serious pics for her class)

[ filesize:1096x787 resolution: ]

some water gizmozoid ... looked nice so i snapped it up

[ filesize:1126x784 resolution: ]

the gazebo at the end of the duckpond closer to the pres's house ... wonder why i dont go down here more often ...

[ filesize:1084x730 resolution: ]

i just love bridge photos ... probably because of the sense of perspective that you cannot miss ...

[ filesize:1120x769 resolution: ]

same bridge but from the side

[ filesize:1117x760 resolution: ]

duckpond again - all frozen over - looks just like in the movies

[ filesize:1165x781 resolution: ]

the War Memorial with all its statues capped in snow

[ filesize:1132x787 resolution: ]

trees and bushes outside the bootstore - everything looks so beautiful just after a fresh showstorm

[ filesize:1135x763 resolution: ]

Eggleston gargoyles also enjoying the snow

[ filesize:781x1132 resolution: ]

the view from out in front of the dorm looking towards the library with the BT (local bus service) going past on the freshly-ploughed roads
