: My understanding for the requirements of the UI is to provide the user some interface so that the user may provide some input and the program will react accordingly by performing simple tasks such as adding new windows, deleteing windows, traversing windows, and cycling the list of windows forwards and backwards. At least, that is what I believe a "User" and "Interface" should do in this case...

correct.

: In terms of error messages, returning nothing such as the last block of test code provided by Professor Suleman (should we call you Professor Suleman or refer to you by Hussein since that is how you sign your messages on here...) is ample enough. For example, in the case of Windows, when you press or you can cycle forward and backwards through the list of windows. But if there are no windows available, it wouldn't do anything. (Though in our case, we get a blankline...)

depending on how slick your interface is, you can avoid the blank line ...

and i dont ever sign my msgs as "Hussein" ... :)
